Amnesia

Top choice in South Ibiza

Amnesia is arguably Ibiza's most influential and legendary club, its decks welcoming such DJ royalty as Sven Väth, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto and Avicii. There's a warehouse-like main room and a terrace topped by a graceful atrium. Big nights include techno-fests Cocoon and Music On, trance-mad Cream and foam-filled Espuma, which always draws a big local crowd.

Amnesia's origins actually go back to the 18th century, when the farmhouse the club has been built around was first constructed. It was a venue for hippy gatherings in the 1970s, then became Ibiza's first after-hours club in the mid-1980s with Balearic tunes played in the sunshine by the legendary DJ Alfredo. Amnesia's underground, innovative music policy made it the most fashionable club on the island.
