Famous Christian Sites at Judea Hills

Start your trip with a pick up at your Tel Aviv or Jerusalem hotel and continue to the beautiful Judea Hills area, to visit the most interesting Christian Sites there. You will visit Abu Gosh village, which is associated with the Biblical Emmaus, to see the Crusade Church at the Benedictine Monastery, one of the best preserved in all Israel. Drive down the mountains to visit beautiful Trappist monastery at Latrun, where great wines are made by the monks who keep silent all the time. From Deir Rafat continue to Beit Jamal monastery, the first Martyr St. Stephan burial place. The monastery is famous for its beautiful frescos and ancient mosaics, as well as a great wine and olive oil, made by the local monks and nuns. And finally, after a breathtaking drive through the forests of Judea, you will arrive to Ein Kerem – the birth place of John the Baptist, to walk its winding alleys and to visit the great churches at the places where John was born and of the Visitation, where Holy Mary met John’ mother Elisabeth. Small Group Tour of the Old City Jerusalem

 Pick up of the guests at their Tel Aviv hotel and drive to Jerusalem, with a short stop at Latrun. Upon arrival to Jerusalem stop to enjoy the Panorama view of the Old City Jerusalem   We shall stop at the Zion Gate to visit Mount Zion. Christian Jerusalem Small Group Tour

This small group tour will take you to the most important and popular Christian sites of Jerusalem. After a pick up at your Tel Aviv hotel we shall drive you to Jerusalem, with a short stop at Latrun, to enjoy the view of the local Trappist Monastery. Upon arrival to Jerusalem, we shall stop at the Observation Platform at the Olive Mount, for you to enjoy the breathtaking view of Jerusalem. We shall further descend to Gethsemane to visit the Gethsemane Garden and the Church of All Nations there. We shall descend the ancient underground church with the Holy Mary Tomb. Back to your mini bus and a drive through the Kidron Valley – the Valley of Resurrection. Great Family experience at Latrun

We shall leave Tel Aviv and will take a short drive in the direction of Jerusalem. Here, at a place called Latrun, you will visit three exciting places:The Mini Israel Park is an exciting attraction that features 385 beautifully crafted exact replica models of Israel's most important historical, religious, archeological and modern sites. The models are situated among rich greenery and miniature trees. The exhibit includes running water, trains, cars and trucks all built to scale. Re-discover Israel and see its landscapes in a way you’ve never seen them before.The Israeli Armored Corps’ Memorial Site  ("Yad Lashiryon") presents a rich Armored Corps battle heritage, from the earliest days of the state and up to present times. The setting for Latrun Fortress is truly magnificent. Built by the British as a fortified police station this fortress overlooks the surrounding terrain and controls the main road from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  The memorial’s museum houses a huge collection of tanks and armored cars, including the Israeli Merkava tanks and hundreds of models from the US, Germany, France, and the Soviet Union, among other countries, as well as some that Israel captured from enemy forces in wartime. This exhibit makes Yad Lashiryon a worldwide unique Military museum.The Latrun Monastery is located on a rise with a view of the Ayalon Valley Latrun monastery was built in the early twentieth century at the site of the XII Century Templar Castle "La Toron"("the Tower" – which still can be seen from the Jerusalem Highway).  Surrounded by charming vineyards, the monastery looks like brought here from France. The Cistercian monks here give a vow of silence.

CoExistence in Israel: Gravel Biking from Latrun Monastery to Neve Shalom

Guided gravel/Mountain bike tour that goes through some historical points and takes a closer look at practical coexistence in the heart of Israel.Starting point is just off road No.1 between Jerusalem and Tel-aviv, Latrun interchange, Latrun Monastery.We can meet there or can pick you up from your hotel in Jerusalem or Tel-Aviv. We will get organized near Latrun Monastery, fitting bikes and helmets, and distributing riding, sweat free shirts for you to keep. By the way you can come with your own bike as well, as long as they fit gravel roads riding. We will get going around 9:30 AM meaning that pickin up should take place around 1 hour before. From Latrun Monastery we will ride down and uphill towards Mesilat Zion via part of the "Israeli Burma Road" that served as a hidden route to provide supply and manpower to the besieged Jerusalem during the 1948 Independence war. Another downhill and up again towards Eshta'ol Forest and then Mizpe Harel (Harel viewpoint) - where we can look at the starting point of "Burma Road" and the ayalon valley all the way west towards the coastline. There is also a bedouin tent there that provides bedouin experience and food - we may stop for lunch. Or just a short scenic observation and Bedouin Tea and off we ride to our next stop.Neve Shalom - Wahat al-Salam – Neve Shalom (pronounced “waaḥat’ as-salaam/neve shalom”) is Arabic and Hebrew for Oasis of Peace: an intentional community jointly established by Jewish and Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel. The village is located midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv-Jaffa.Not only we will witness coexistence first hand, we will also may have lunch and a friendly discussion with one of the locals who will tell us the story of the place and will provide us with hope.Finishing on a positive note wil help us ride the last lag of the day, back to Latrun Monastery.If time and energy will allow we can add a winery on our way or just a quick stop at the monastery shop of local grown wine and oil and a few other things you will have to find out yourself.

There are 9 gates in the old city of Jerusalem, Each of them played and still play a role in the history of the city.  06:50 A.M Pick up from hotels in Tel Aviv. 07:30 a.m. start our way towards Jerusalem. On the way, we will see "Latrun “a strategic hilltop in the Latrun salient in the Ayalon Valley. It overlooks the road between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem.  Beginning of the excursion from panorama of the Old City of Jerusalem. We will have a view of the New Gate, Damascus Gate, Flowers Gate. We will stop to learn about the: Lions Gate, Golden Gate. The Zion gate: Visit to Mount Zion south of the Old City of Jerusalem. Room of Last Supper. Tomb of King David, synagogue of David. Nabi-Daud Mosque. The Jaffa Gate: Church of Holy Sepulcher. Cardo, the roman road. 5 last stops of Christ At 12:45 p.m. we will have a lunch break.
