It was built in the period between the 13th and the first half of the 14th century. The most famous ruler of the medieval town of Jajce was the duke Hrvoje Vukcic Hrvatinic at the turn of the 14th and the 15th centuries. In the mid 15th century, the royal court moved in to Jajce, when a palace was built within the fortress. A biphora remained in bastion II, where quite possibly a dwelling place of the feudal lord was placed. At the southern wall of the fortress is "the roaly portal " that was opened some time around 15th century.Duration: 20 minutesStop At: Catacomb of Jajce, Jajce, Central Bosnia CantonCatacombs (underground church, the crypt) in the Jajce is located inside of city walls. Today mostly ouf of order but still amazing to see how they split up two lakes.Io these lakes we would strongly recommend doing some swimming, fishing, canoeing or kayaking (in 1963. World and European Championship in kayaking and canoeing on still waters were held on Pliva lakes). This is something must see if passing by these areas.Duration: 1 hourStop At: Stari Grad, Old Town, Travnik, Central Bosnia CantonVizziers town and birthplace of Nobel winning author Ivo Andric famous for its amazingly tasty cheese and cevapi. Place definitely worth of visiting. Duration: 1 hourStop At: Medvjed kulaThe Bear Tower Jajce (Bosnia and Herzegovina) was built in Romanesque style, and being so indicated that it is the one of earliest military structures from the Bosnian MIddle Ages.Thory of names is simple - due to its thickness of the walls which are reaching between 4.5 and 6 meters it was given such a name. Also there is mythical one which says that it was named so because it was place where bears fed on captives and convicts, who were kept there. Pretty amazing.Belfry St.Luke is the only surviving medieval tower in continental part of the Balkans, with height of 23,15 meters it was built in first half of XV century. The Tower of St.Luke in Jajce is actually the bell tower of the Gothic church of Holy Mary, although the whole church came to be called that name due to metonymony. Being built in first half of XV century, with characteristics of three different styles: Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance. The building of the church is not dated exactly, but it is assumed that it was erected at the site of an earlier Romanesque church at the beginning of XV century. The church was the place where the relics of St.Luke the Evangelist were enshrined. The relics were brought to Jajce by the last Bosnian Queen, Mara Jelena as her dowry.Duration: 10 minutesStop At: Stari Grad, Old Town, Travnik, Central Bosnia CantonVizziers town and birthplace of our Nobel winning author Ivo Andric famous for its tasty food, especially cevapcici and white cheese. Tatinec cycling path

Duration: 3 hours Included in the price: Warm meal and snacks (at the family farm Odems and the guest house Pr’Bizjak), educational path in the Kokra canyon, countryside legends, tour guidance and insurance. Own trekking or mountain bike, clothing appropriate to weather conditions and cycling helmets are mandatory. The starting point of the tour is the main square of Kranj. Our path follows the river Kokra to the village of Predoslje where we are kindly greeted at the Odems tourist farm. This family farm produces milk, eggs, seasonal vegetables and veal, so let’s not miss a snack! We will cycle through meadows and fields, then cross the river Kokra at Visoko and on its left bank, we will go up the educational path of the Kokra canyon to the village Breg ob Kokri. We will pass also the subalpine village of Preddvor and we will be able to get a feeling of its history at the Wurzbach mansion and St. Peter's church, both mentioned already in the 12th century. We will have the opportunity to feel also the healing effect of this place through its geographical features, fresh mountain air and the tranquillity it has. When the last count of this mansion, Dr. Arthur Wurzbach, sold it to doctor Majerič, the latter reorganised it to a resort where the well-to-do guests from Austria, Germany and Yugoslavia could breathe the healing air.In Zgornja Bela we will arrive at the homely guest house Pr’Bizjak with its aromas of buckwheat gnocchi, mushroom carpaccio, sweetbread and the award-winning fennel cookies. The menu is simple, but the warm and inviting atmosphere has been there for at least 200 years and will make you feel as important as the high-rank politicians that often come to eat at Pr’Bizjak’s. After a warm meal, our path will go on through charming little subalpine villages to the village of Tatinec, which is especially important for our trip. Legend has it that the village got its name after a certain youth, named Tine, who liked to steal from people and so got the nickname “tat Tinc” (“the thief Tinc”). One night he was hauling a stolen cow up the hill together with a friend and because he was too loud doing that, the friend warned him “Tine, tiš” (“Tine, quieter”). So that is where the name of the neighbouring village Tenetiše comes from. We will not visit this village, but in Tatinec you will have the opportunity to hear about who is hiding there.  With a sack full of legends we will come through the green pastures to the three clay lakes of Bobovek. Right here under the Alps, mammoths used to roam 180.000 years ago, as finds from archaeological sites can tell us. The artificial lakes, results of clay digging, are an excellent opportunity to freshen up in the summer and to relax at their green banks in the spring and autumn. After this break we will cycle back to Kranj and enter into town past its most beautiful natural attraction – the Kokra canyon.

The Neretva River carves its way through the centre, dividing the massive mountain ranges. It was at Jablanica that Tito and the partisans, burdened with 4,000 wounded others, won the unlikely Battle of the Neretva during World War II. The blown-up bridge that the partisans used to trick the Nazis still hangs from the high cliffs as a reminder of one of the partisans' greatest victories. In addition, there is a war memorial on the peak of Mount Prenj (2,155 meters), dedicated to Tito and the brave men and women who climbed and crossed this cruel - and beautiful – mountain in the most trying of times. Duration: 1 hourStop At: Konjic Bridge, Konjic, Herzegovina-Neretva CantonFor lunch we are going to explore one of the most serene settings in Europe.Konjic is attractive far more by its abundance of natural beauty that completely surrounds the town. The Neretva River running through the centre and Prenj Mountain hovering behind dominate Konjic. The old town is quite nice to stroll through. The center of town is rather pleasant too, with stunning views in every direction. The main street is often closed to vehicle traffic and is filled with the young and old walking, hanging out in café's or selling their wares along the riverside markets. People in Konjic are very easy going and friendly so feel free to ask someone for directions or to engage in some small talk. One of the not-to-be-missed attractions is certainly Kamena cuprija (Stone Bridge) built in 1682. The epicenter of the Konjic tourism offer is most certainly the area around Boracko Lake and the valley of Glaveticevo. This partial glacier lake has bungalows, a hotel and camping facilities. Most of the outdoor activities begin from this region: hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking, village tourism, canoeing, mountain biking and even paragliding. Duration: 2 hoursStop At: Vrelo Bosne, Sarajevo, Sarajevo CantonSituated 12km southwest of Sarajevo, Ilidza has long been a close retreat for city dwellers to enjoy the thermal springs, recreation centre and the lovely park at the source of River Bosna called Vrelo Bosna. The springs are accessible by car, foot, bike or horse and carriage. The long tree-lined aleja is closed to vehicle traffic and is perfect for a jog, walk or bike ride. It is possible to take a 10KM horse and carriage ride from the top of the avenue in an old carriage from the Austro-Hungarian period. Duration: 2 hoursMeals included: • Breakfast • LunchAccommodation included: Depends on package purchasedDay 5: Pre-Historic PyramidsStop At: Visoko, Visoko, Zenica-Doboj CantonAfter breakfast, we are departing on what will for sure be the most memorable destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite only being a 20-minute drive from Sarajevo, Visoko falls politically under the Zenica-Doboj Canton in central Bosnia. The town is best known for its leather smiths, whose craft has been practised for over 500 years. High-quality, reasonably priced leather goods can be purchased in the old carsija. KTK Leather Company is the largest factory of its kind in the country. Their products can also be found in Sarajevo's carsija but you're likely to pay more than if you bought them here. The old part of Visoko is a mini version of Sarajevo's Bascarsija. Visoko reached the peak of its development during the late Middle Ages. It became a strong social, political and economic centre and had the status of a royal town. Its name was recorded for the first time in 1355, in a chart issued to the merchants of Dubrovnik by ban Tvrtko I. On the vast plain near the town were the residences of the bans and the kings. Foreign envoys were received and state assemblies of all Bosnian territories were held in Visoko. Visoko was also an important trading centre and, like many central Bosnian towns, had a considerable colony of merchants from Dubrovnik. The numerous charters and letters issued and registered in Visoko or its surroundings show the significant role of the town at that time. Today its main role is that of a small industrial and trading town. This, however, is starting to change with a new archaeological discovery in the summer of 2005. A specialist from Houston University in the United States who has studied pyramids around the world for over fifteen years has claimed to have found Europe’s first and only pyramid. Visocica Mountain, home to the medieval Bosnian fortress, is now believed to be a man-made, perfectly symmetrical structure – namely a pyramid. Archaeological digs have given great legitimacy to this claim as experts and media from around the globe continue to keep their eye on this most miraculous discovery.Duration: 2 hoursStop At: Sarajevo City Center, Sarajevo, Sarajevo CantonAs we return to beautiful Sarajevo, here you will get an inside look at this spectacular city. In the evening time, you will be treated to a luxurious fine dining and wine pairing experience. Sarajevo is a city in which even strangers can feel at home. Neither geographically expansive nor characterised by large buildings, the city retains a particular, arresting charm with its abundance of busy cafés and abiding tradition of hospitality. The city's breathtaking backdrop of seemingly endless hills and towering mountains have in a sense always isolated the city, creating a timeless world, which despite its seclusion has always kept its doors open to the rest of the world. Although Sarajevo is a capital city typified by the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it also possesses a unique ambience that seeps into the soul. This city epitomizes a partial centuries-old struggle against outside influences combined with the absorption of these influences into one of the most diverse cultures in Europe. Indeed, few places on earth feature an Orthodox and a Catholic church, a mosque and a synagogue within easy walking distance of each other. If there were any city in Europe that effortlessly straddles east and west, it is Sarajevo. Here the Byzantine and Ottoman empires of the east and the Roman, Venetian and Austro-Hungarian empires of the west left an indelible mark through culture, traditions and religions. A walk through Sarajevo is a walk through its past. From the oriental Ottoman quarters lined with sweet shops, café's and handicraft workshops, to the administrative and cultural centre of Austro-Hungarian times, Sarajevo encompasses the very best of both worlds. In Sarajevo, people have time for family and friends. It is often said that a man's wealth here is not measured in his material belongings but rather in his friendships.Duration: 4 hoursMeals included: • Breakfast • DinnerAccommodation included: Depends on package purchasedDay 6: Departure DayPass By: Sarajevo City Center, Sarajevo, Sarajevo CantonAfter breakfast transfer to the Sarajevo International Airport.
