About Marisa Megan
I'm a travel journalist with a passion for cultural preservation, remote travel, music and Carnaval. I have a deep love for islands and have lived on several, like the Dominican Republic, Florianopolis and Samoa (with a few other in between). When not on the road, I split my time between Rio de Janeiro and Portugal, mostly surfing, skating, and hanging out on the beach with my son and three dogs.
