Welcome to Eurobodalla Coast
Known as ‘the Land of Many Waters’, this southern coastline luxuriates in long, sandy beaches and jewel-like coves, an irresistible draw for surfers and swimmers. Lakes and forest-backed inlets have ensured a lively market in kayak and SUP rentals, particularly around Batemans Bay. Wildlife entices visitors to Narooma, particularly the playful seals of Montague Island and the promise of seasonal encounters with little penguins and whales. Meanwhile, Australia's gold rush and old quarrying days are feted in Mogo, Moruya and the Tilba towns, all of them frozen in time.
The area is part of the homelands of the Yuin people and includes their sacred mountain, Gulaga (806m). Routes like the Bingi Dreaming Track thread their way through sites linked to the land's traditional owners.
