Spain’s recent campaign to quiet noisy diners has gained the favour of several Michelin-starred restaurants.

Madrid eateries including the Hotel Único and Restaurante Martín Berasategui in Lasarte-Oria have signed up to the Eating Without Noise initiative in an attempt to give their customers a more pleasant dining experience. Better insulation and wider spacing between tables are two of the tactics used by restaurants to help decrease noise. The World Health Organisation has dubbed Spain the world’s second noisiest country, just after Japan. Read more: telegraph.co.uk
