Welcome to Vals

Swiss people will tell you that Vals is the home to Valser mineral water and the company's factory greets you as you enter the village, but it is also known for its soothing warm waters, especially since Basel-born architect Peter Zumthor worked his magic to transform Therme Vals' thermal baths into a temple of cutting-edge cool. There's history here, though; Vals' first spa hotel opened in 1893.

Valstertal is a tributary valley with the Glogn River flowing north to join the Vorderrhein at Ilanz. It's a dead-end, so you go out the same way you came in.
