Royal Selangor Visitor Centre

Kuala Lumpur

Located 8km northeast of the city centre, the world's largest pewter manufacturer offers some very appealing souvenirs made from this malleable alloy of tin and copper. Also for sale are the company's silver pieces under the Comyns brand and its Selberam jewellery. Selangor's products are sold at its retail outlets in KL's malls including Suria KLCC and Pavilion KLCC.

Apart from shopping, you can tour the factory, try your hand at creating a pewter dish at the School of Hard Knocks (RM65, 30 minutes) or making your own jewellery at The Foundry (RM180, one hour), or have refreshments at the cafe. Get a taxi from Wangsa Maju station.
