With modern Chinese interiors fit for an emperor, this Manchu-inspired restaurant is a regal delight, serving imperial fare such as Peking duck, braised sea cucumber and curiosities including DIY venison buns – in recognition of the game-hunting Qing dynasty from which the restaurant draws its thematic cues.
Dine in a largeish group and you'll be put in one of the exquisite private rooms, which really adds to the sense of occasion. Najia Xiaoguan has several other branches around town, including one out at Fragrant Hills.
