All cosy alcoves surrounding an open kitchen, Dai Pai Dong's award-winning Chinese is where Asian foodies chase Cantonese roasted duck, spicy braised chicken and wok-fried beef tenderloin with green tea and kumquat mojitos. Once you've chowed down on its roasted pork buns or truffle and vegetable stuffed dumplings, you'll understand why Dai Pai Dong is known for its dim sum.

Come on Saturday for its Yum Cha brunch (from Dhs208 per person) to fill up on as many dumplings as you can.

Though technically part of Rosewood, it falls within the Galleria Mall space.

Groups of friends regularly come together in the evenings to meet and train their birds where the practice becomes more about camaraderie and sharing knowledge than subsistence.
