This theater, one of NYC's most important cultural institutions, has hosted long runs by important artists like Tony Kushner, Peter Brook and Laurie Anderson. Founded as the Majestic in 1904 and abandoned for much of the 1960s and 1970s (blame the TV set), 'the Harvey' was renamed for the executive director who rescued it from decay, and reopened under the banner 'BAM Strong' in October 2019.
