Stockton

Hong Kong

Hard-to-find Stockton evokes the ambience of a private club in Victorian London with Chesterfield sofas and wood panelling cleverly arranged to form dark, intimate corners. Its signature cocktails (from HK$130) are inspired by famous writers and quirkily served in vessels such as ceramic pots with rosemary fronds to garnish. Make a reservation if you're coming after 9pm on a weekend.

From the big iron gate diagonally across the road from the Fringe Club, walk a couple of doors to the west and turn into the open doorway with a corridor lit by candles on the floor. Stockton's entrance is at the back of the building, up the stairs.
