Cocoloko

Grand Baie

Arranged around an inviting pebble-strewn courtyard across the street from the beach, Cocoloko brings a slice of cool and wannabe sophistication to downtown Grand Baie. Familiar international fare won't inspire devotion, but the atmosphere is very conducive to coffee, cocktails and outdoor dining. There are salads, steaks, burgers, a few other mains and pizza (or 'pizzaloko', as it's known).

Throw in free wi-fi, live music most nights and a happy hour that generously runs from 4pm to 8pm, and there's a lot to be said for letting a long, lazy afternoon here segue effortlessly into the evening.
