Grand Hotel

Łódź

If you enjoyed The Grand Budapest Hotel movie, this local landmark is the place for you. Established in 1888, this once-opulent hotel has been undergoing a (very) gradual renovation since 2010. The lobby and corridors exude a faded grandeur, and the extravagant former ballroom is a wonder to behold. Bedrooms, while comfortable, are undistinguished. Some elevators may not work.

The ground-floor cafe buzzes with locals meeting up.
