Bus

Excellent bus service connects Tegucigalpa with other parts of Honduras, but like elsewhere in the country, each bus line has its own separate terminal. Most terminals are clustered in Comayagüela, where you should keep a close eye on your bags and belongings while waiting for the bus. The free magazine Honduras Tips has a very helpful section on bus routes and schedules.

Air

Tocontín International Airport in Tegucigalpa is decidedly down-scale compared to the modern airport in San Pedro Sula. It’s also poorly-marked, with just a short driveway and small parking lot. The airport’s reservations area has a single Unibanc ATM and an Expresso Americano coffee shop. However, a planned renovation ought to be at or near completion by the time you read this.
