Welcome to Little Haiti & the Upper East Side
Well north of Wynwood and the Design District, these two big neighborhoods see relatively few visitors. Little Haiti still feels derelict in parts, though it has a vibrant Haitian expat community, with much activity revolving around the colorful Little Haiti Cultural Center. Further east, the Upper East Side is best known for its striking modernist buildings lining Biscayne Blvd. It's something of Miami's great new frontier, with new restaurants, hotels and galleries setting up shop here in the last few years.
