At the end of the pier behind the Navy Yard, this understated tavern offers one of the loveliest views of the Boston Harbor and city skyline. The food is not that memorable, but it’s a fine place to catch some rays on your face and the breeze off the water, and to enjoy an ice-cold one from behind the bar.

You can also catch a free boat to the Pier's sister restaurant in East Boston. The Reelhouse offers an experience pretty similar to Pier Six, but it's in edgy, up-and-coming East Boston. And, you get to arrive by boat.
