Beautifully restored, this 18th-century stone coaching inn has 15 airy rooms decorated with French country-style furnishings (some with canopied, four-poster beds), a charming, rose-filled garden with a fountain at its centre, a restaurant and excellent breakfasts such as free-range scrambled eggs with Annagassan smoked salmon. Staff are welcoming and professional in equal measure. Wi-fi is strongest in the front rooms.
