La Fortuna
The rooms at this rather grown up hostel are done in whites and beiges, and the courtyard is lush, lovely and strung with hammocks. Guests are invited to go down the street to the sister property, Arenal Hostel Resort, to join the party (swimming pool, bar) and then to return here for quiet, comfort and good night’s sleep.
This should not be confused with Arenal Backpackers Resort, up the hill a bit out of town, which is a different (and cooler) beast altogether.
