Hat Kata

This friendly, popular divers' flophouse offers clean, no-frills en suite doubles, hot water and air-con, and is attached to a recommended boutique dive school. The six-bed dorm is big and light, with towels and lockers provided. Divers often get free dorm beds if there's space.

It's one of many guesthouses in the Beach Centre complex.
