Weeds Poetry Night

Wicker Park, Bucktown & Ukrainian Village

Verse comes in all shapes and sizes at this longstanding weekly Monday night event, now at the Hideout. A cast of delightfully eccentric poets get on the mic to vent about love, sex, war, booze, urban living and pretty much everything in between. Some of it rhymes, some of it rambles, but it all makes for a pretty cool scene.

It's an open mike, so everyone gets to do three poems or five minutes. If you've got some lines, give it a go – it's a welcoming crowd.
