Central City Opera

Colorado

Founded in 1932, Central City Opera is one of the oldest opera companies in the country. It performs in an ornate 19th-century opera house built by miners; the ceiling fresco is remarkable. Performances are typically held during the summer months – traditional shows as well as one act and short works are staged. Located 38 miles west of Denver.
