Puno to Tinajani Private Full-Day Tour with Sillustani, Lampa

Your day tour starts with early morning pickup in the center of Puno for the 45-minute drive to your first stop, Sillustani, where you'll spend about one hour. This complex on the shores of Umayo Lagoon is known for its funerary towers (chullpas) from pre-Inca and Inca cultures that stand as tall as 40 feet (12 meters). Next, continue your tour to 'the Pink City' of Lampa, arriving in the mid-morning. Visit Templo de Santiago Apostol, a church and national monument that dates back to 1675, known for its catacombs and a replica sculpture of the Pietà by Michelangelo. Then depart Lampa for Pucará, where you'll arrive around midday. Enjoy a 1-hour visit at the Lithic Museum and the Pukara Archaeological Site, an important ceremonial center for the Pucará culture. You will have half an hour for a box lunch.Then head to your last destination, Tinajani. You'll spend about 1.5 hours in this canyon to see its rock formations, red sandstone deposits, and volcanic rocks millions of years old, formed as a result of wind, hail, snow, and rain. After your time here, your day trip ends with the 3-hour drive back to Puno for drop-off in the city.

FULL DAY (Sillustani, Lampa and Pucara)

The tour begins with the pick-up of the hotels. 8:00 am I pick up from the hotels and then go to the archaeological center of Sillustani. The archaeological site of Sillustani is located 34 km away from the city of Puno (22.3 miles - 35 minutes by car) and at a height of 3.840mts (12,858 feet) above sea level. Sillustani is strategically located on the top of a peninsula surrounded by a beautiful lagoon called Laguna Umayo. This archaeological site was a cemetery built in the 13th century by a civilization that occupied this region before the Inka domination. The builders of these imposing burial towers are known as the Kolla people or nation. The most imposing burial towers were built for the most powerful chiefs and priests. 11:30 approximately, after that we will take the road to the city of Lampa passing through the city of Juliaca. 12:00 guided visit to the city of lampa in the same way to the catacombs and replica of Miguel Angel and library of the municipality of lampa. 1:00 pm arrival to the city of pucara where we will have a lunch and then visit the complex Archaeological site of Pucara cradle of the high Andean civilization. 5:00 pm Return to and arrival in the city of Puno leaving the clients in their respective hotels..
