Welcome to Angoram
Angoram is the most easily accessible of the Sepik villages in terms of public transport from Wewak, and while the Lower Sepik is not as interesting culturally as other parts of the river, the nearby villages are worth a visit.
Wavi Guesthouse, run by the daughter of knowledgeable, reliable local guide Francis Tobias, is a short walk from the river. Simple rooms have beds and mosquito nets and meals (K20 to K35) can be arranged. Sepik Lodge, on the outskirts of Angoram, is the swishest option in town (think electricty and own bathroom). Both places can arrange boat trips and help find PMV boats to Bogia, from where you can hop aboard another boat to Madang (overnighting in Bogia).
