Thaba-Tseka is a remote town on the eastern edge of the Central Range, over Mokhoabong Pass (2860m) from Mohale Dam and the west. The town was established in 1980 as a centre for the mountainous district, and is a scrappy place serving mostly as a convenient transport junction for travel north to Katse or west to Maseru.
