Cayman Islands West Bay Tour Plus Seven Mile Beach Visit

A professional Spanish/English speaking driver will meet you at the confirmed pick-up location and guide you to an air-conditioned motor coach for the drive to West Bay, one of the six Districts (Towns) of Grand Cayman. The tour begins in George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands. Head down West Bay Road where you'll see many luxurious hotels, condos, shopping centers, fine restaurants and many more places of interest. Also, you'll learn about the island's history and wonders as you make your way to the west side of island.  Our first stop will be the Tortuga Rum Factory, where you will be able to sample some of the local rum and world famous Tortuga Rum Cake. Next, drive through the beautiful exclusive waterfront development known as Camana Bay. Camana Bay offers many attractions such as restaurants, shops, cinema, interactive water fountains and an Observation Tower. Moving on, make your way to the Governor’s Mansion, followed by the Old Homestead, one of the oldest family homes standing on the Island built about 200 years ago. Next, we will go to "Hell" and back. We will venture to Dolphin Discovery. Grand Cayman West Bay Shore Excursion via 4x4 with Small Group

After port pickup in George Town, climb into an open-air 4x4 Land Rover and discover the delights of the western side of Grand Cayman Island. Inside Barker’s National Park, learn from your knowledgeable guide about the nature preserve of 100 acres (40 hectares) near West Bay. As you drive down an isolated expanse of beach, free of high-rises, admire views of thick mangrove forests on one side and the glittering sea on the other.Disrupt this sense of tranquility with a visit to Hell. From a platform, gaze out onto a spiky terrain of black limestone rock that gave the small coastal town its name. Learn about the geology behind this curious formation, and snap a selfie with the nearby devil statue. Step inside the post office to send a postcard to family and friends stamped from Hell. 

Back in the Land Rover, head on to Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, where your guide shares with you its Caribbean origins. Through the large windows of the bakery, you may see cakes being glazed by hand with Tortuga Gold Rum, aged in oak barrels for five years. In the store next door, taste some rum cake and then choose from a mouthwatering variety of flavors — original, chocolate, coconut, Blue Mountain coffee, key lime, banana or pineapple — to purchase and take back with you to the ship.

Enjoy the company of turtles at Cayman Turtle Farm, a research and conservation center. Listen to how the Cayman islands developed in the 17th and 18 centuries from the industry of ‘turtling,’ the fishing of turtles as a source of meat. Making your way through the exhibits, you’ll see old green sea turtles, some weighing more than 500 lbs (226 kg).After a morning of beach, rum cake, turtles and a short stint in Hell, enjoy one last ride in the Land Rover back to George Town port.Worry-free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your excursion ends with ample time for you to return to George Town port for your ship’s departure. Grand Cayman Stingray City, Coral Garden, Turtle Farm

You will be guided by a professional staff member to a loading station for a short trip to the Turtle Farm in West Bay. Along the journey you will have the chance to see some of Cayman's most relaxing destinations within the Seven Mile Beach area. Upon entering the Turtle Farm the first encounter will be with the largest turtles at the park. Known to be some of the largest turtles in the Caribbean, these turtle can weigh in excess of six hundred pounds. Your guide will then take you to various tanks where you will have the opportunity to see and learn about small green turtles and at the same time have your picture taken by professional onsite photographers. The Turtle Farm is also home to a large number of creatures and sea life, including sharks and various types of fish. Remember to always keep you camera ready for those unexpected moments that will make you trip a once in a life time experience.Leaving the Turtle Farm and onto the next great adventure, you will be taken by bus to a vessel station located fifteen minutes away. The journey to Stingray City by boat is approximately twenty minutes. Upon arriving at Stingray City you will be instructed on safety and behavior around the stingrays. All of our vessels are outfitted with snorkel gear and flotation vest in order to accommodate visitors experience and skills level. Upon entering the water for the first time you will be guided by our tour operator to the main attraction. Remember to have picture taken by one of our underwater photographers. Introductory Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson

Enjoy free pickup and drop-off from Seven Mile Beach, West Bay and George Town areas. The shop is based at Barkers Beach, inside Barkers National Park. There are various lesson start times to suit your schedule, and use world class equipment will give you the ultimate experience. When you arrive at Barkers Beach you will be greeted by your qualified kitesurf instructor who will give you a full overview of the activity before you begin. There is no special experience necessary. If you can swim, you can kitesurf! This is an unforgettable experience. Warm flat waters, expansive open space and a waist deep teaching area allows beginners the perfect environment to have a great water adventure. The lesson provides you with a shared IKO qualified instructor who will allow you to focus on the practical aspects of kiting from the very beginning. Feel the rush of adrenaline and experience what makes kiting so addictive to those that try it. For your comfort we recommend you bring with you a UV shirt, rash guard or t-shirt to protect you from the sun, sunscreen, water, snacks and watershoes, if you own them. If not, they will be supplied free of charge.
