Welcome to North Side

The only way to get here (unless you come by boat) is to drive east along the south coast and cut through the center of the island – a long, meandering journey through the heart of the island – making the North Side feel even more remote than it really is. But then again, that's part of the appeal.

Hidden Trail Beach Hike

Your guide a.k.a. me is an international traveler who came to Sayulita to escape winter over two years ago, and has never left since. Besides being a fan of the Pacific ocean, warm climate and experiencing new food and music, I am a language enthusiast, and have quickly become close to fluent in Spanish simply by living in the Mexican culture and interacting with the locals a lot. Now I am more than happy to share my expertise with you!I will take you to a gorgeous hidden gem - my favorite beach in the area.We will meet at a coffee shop on the North side of town, and we'll kick off our crash course in conversational [Mexican] Spanish right there as we start our walk through a lovely residential area. Then we will hike through an amazing jungle via a trail only locals know. There will be multiple spots for spectacular photo opportunities - and I mean the kind of pictures that will make your friends and relatives back home extremely jealous. No need to carry a selfie stick, I'll take your pics for you (see what a sweet deal you're getting?!)Depending on the pace we choose for this hike, it will take us around 35-40 minutes to get to the secluded, authentic, truly magical beach. Good exercise with a fantastic reward: discovering a pristine beach where no vendor sets his foot, bathing in the refreshing embrace of the Pacific Ocean, and letting golden rays touch your skin and fill you with a healthy dose of vitamin D! All while learning a bit of Spanish naturally from a friendly host.
