Welcome to Nagambie
In the Goulburn Valley just west of the Hume Fwy, Nagambie inhabits the shores of pretty Lake Nagambie. It's a popular centre for water sports and skydiving. The surrounding area is known for its horse studs. Superstar horse Black Caviar was born here, and a life-sized bronze statue pays homage to him at Jacobson's Lookout on Lake Nagambie. Nearby are a brace of excellent wineries, and the centre of town has been enlivened with a new cafe and a lakefront craft brewery scheduled to open in 2019.
The area around Nagambie is the traditional homeland of the Taungurung people.
