Welcome to Around Swan Hill
Just 16km southeast of Swan Hill, Lake Boga is an interesting little town – especially now that its namesake lake is full of water again. Flying boats were repaired and tested at Lake Boga during WWII, and the famous Catalina flying boat A24-30 is on display at the Flying Boat Museum. Inside you'll find lots of displays and photographs and there's an excellent on-site cafe.
A patchwork of lakes, including Kangaroo Lake and Lake Charm, are popular water-sports destinations. Birdwatchers shouldn't miss the Middle Lake Ibis Rookery, 6km north of Kerang, where you can spot straw-necked and white ibis from a bird hide.
