Welcome to Lake Cooroibah
A couple of kilometres north of Tewantin, the Noosa River widens into Lake Cooroibah. Surrounded by lush bushland, the glassy, relatively shallow lake is an idyllic spot to push out a canoe or kayak and relish the silence. The lake was once a favourite fishing location for the indigenous Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people and its waters continue to ripple with sand crabs and numerous types of fish.
