Santana del Mar

Top choice in Coyoacán & San Ángel

The best-value seafood restaurant in CDMX appears pricey with a designer, nautical-themed dining hall roomy enough for groups to linger. For the price, it's hard to believe how good the carnitas de atún taco is, showing off slightly charred tuna and garlic sauce. While the jícama swaps the tortilla for turnip around shrimp and mango for a refreshing taco.

Shareable mains include whole fried fish or zingy torre de mariscos (shrimp, octopus and avocado). Other goodies include ceviche and similar aguachile (lime-cured shrimp), spicy tuna tostadas (round corn chip), crab salad, vegetarian options and extremely cheap beer and cocktails (all M$18!). Non-Mexican dishes – ramen, pizzas, sushi – miss the mark.
