Bernardov Dvor

Slovakia

Borrowing Mediterranean, Slovak and French flavours, the chefs at Bernardov Dvor present everything with artistry, whether it's the excellent pizzas or chicken with goat's cheese risotto. The contemporary restaurant, a refined mix of blonde wood and slate detailing, billows out to a shaded beer garden. Service is spot on and the lunch menus (€5 to €7) are excellent value.

It's also agreeably kid-friendly, featuring high chairs, games and a garden to play in.
