Right Proper Brewing Co Brookland Production House

Logan Circle, U Street & Columbia Heights

Right Proper started out as a small brewery in Shaw, but it had to expand to this Brookland facility. Now both sites make beer, with Brookland as the more copious producer. Sit down at the cherry-wood bar and order a fruit-tinged saison or sour wheat ale. Flights are a fine way to sample the 12 taps.

Be sure to check out the fantastic chalk mural of escaped zoo creatures gone wild. Free tours take place at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm Saturday and Sunday; no reservations needed. The brewery also holds yoga classes ($15, including a three-beer flight) the second Saturday of the month; sign up online in advance.
