Holey Artisan Bakery

Top choice in Dhaka

After being ransacked by militants in mid-2016, this top-notch bakery rose like a phoenix in a new (albeit tiny) address within a shopping mall in early 2017. True to its earlier reputation, it continues to churn out the best baguettes, sourdoughs, brioches, croissants, bagels and ciabattas in town.

The savouries here – ranging from melt-in-the-mouth steak ale pies to flavourful tuna and celery sandwiches – are simply yummy. Among its desserts, the carrot cake, New York cheesecake and Key lime meringue pie have garnered a following among Dhaka's expats, and pair rather well with the aromatic house espresso (Tk 150).
