Red Cat Records

Top choice in Vancouver

Arguably Vancouver's coolest record store and certainly the only one named after a much-missed cat… There's a brilliantly curated collection of new and used vinyl and CDs, and it's co-owned by musicians; ask them for tips on where to see great local acts such as Loscil and Nick Krgovich or peruse the huge list of shows in the window.

You can buy show tickets here, and listen to albums before you buy. If you're curious about the red cat, his name was Buddy and, although he passed away in 2006, he's fondly commemorated via the handsome portrait poster behind the counter.
