Waiahole Poi Factory

Top choice in Windward Coast

This family-owned roadside landmark sells ʻono (delicious) traditional Hawaiian plate lunches, baked laulau (bundle made of pork or chicken with salted butterfish wrapped in taro and ti leaves and steamed) and squid, freshly pounded poi and seafood poke by the pound, and homemade haupia (coconut pudding) for dessert. Get here early at lunchtime, as food sells out fast.

It sometimes holds events such as the Hawaiian Nose Flute Workshop or the Poi and Hawaiian Food Demonstration and Tasting. Check availability online.
