Imperial Square

Mussoorie

With huge windows overlooking Gandhi Chowk, Imperial Square is easily Mussoorie's most scenic spot for a drink. The beer is pricey (₹340) but it's ice cold, and there's a whole menu of meat and vegetarian kebabs to go with it. There's also a bar if you're in the mood for cocktails etc. The newly renovated heritage building dates from 1843.

It's just as popular as a place to eat, and the menu emphasises Continental dishes, with long lists of platters and sizzlers, plus big toasted sandwiches. The attached hotel has excellent rooms (from ₹5700) with valley views.
