Palapa Bar

Ambergris Caye

This over-the-water palapa (open-air shelter with a thatched roof), a mile south of San Pedro bridge, serves burgers and tacos, and is a fantastic place for tropical drinks any time of day. There's no law against drinking and floating, so when it's really hot you are invited to partake of a bucket of beers while relaxing in an inner tube.

There's also live music and jam sessions on the weekends.
