Green Hotel

Mysuru (Mysore)

The maharaja built the Green Hotel in the 1920s as a palace for his daughters. Today it's a heritage hotel set among charming gardens. Rooms in the old wing have plenty of period character, though some fixtures are looking a tad tired and there's no AC. There's a good cafe, a restaurant and a travel agent.

Expect some traffic noise in the newer wing. Profits are distributed to charitable and environmental projects across India.
