A restaurant for dogs serving up healthy treats is set to open in Zagreb

If your furry best friend is with you while visiting Zagreb, you may wish to check out the city’s first restaurant dedicated to dogs. There’s no need for Fido to stay at home while you are out exploring the sights, because this new Croatian eaterie is ready to spoil him or her with delicious doggy dinner and healthy treats.

The restaurant for pooches is a new project for dog bakery, Hov-Hov, which makes cookies, muffins, brownies, walnut rolls, pretzels, cakes and other tasty treats for pets. It has been operating in the Masarykova 19 area of Zagreb for several years now and is very popular with dog-loving locals. While the restaurant menu is currently still at the planning stage, the bakery’s doggy treats are made by hand and roasted in the traditional way. Dog-owners will be pleased to learn that all ingredients are healthy, low-calorie, easy to digest, and made without additives and preservatives.

If it’s your dog’s birthday, you will be able to celebrate it at the restaurant and bakery with a doggy birthday cake, or you could even host a party for all their little pals filled with lots of healthy treats. While the dogs are the guests of honour, we’re sure the accompanying humans’ tongues will be hanging out looking at all of the tasty treats on offer for their besties to enjoy.

The dog restaurant will open in December as part of this year’s ‘Fooling Around’ event in Zagreb. The bakery is also selling Advent calendars for dogs, as well as clothing and toys from Croatian brand, Dawg Swag.
