Welcome to Tuba City & Moenkopi

Tuba City is named for 19th-century Hopi chief Tuve (or Toova), who converted to Mormonism, then welcomed a group of Utah Mormons to build a village of their own, next to Moenkopi. The best reason to stop on this side of Hwy 160 is the Explore Navajo Interactive Museum.
