3-Day Speyside Whisky Tour from Edinburgh

Your small-group 3-day whisky tour will depart from Edinburgh by luxury minivan with a maximum of 15 people and head to the north-east area of Scotland! The region of Speyside follows the path of the River Spey, stretching from the west of the Cairngorm National Park to the east coast. Boasting an impressive scene of winding lochs, green glens and dramatic peaks, the region has something for everyone.Your base throughout your 3-day whisky tour is the idyllic village of Grantown on Spey, near Aviemore, where your charming B&B accommodation is located. From here, all the Speyside whisky distilleries and sights are within easy reach. Enjoy visits to four of the region’s famous whisky distilleries, Dalwhinnie, Benromach, Cardhu and Glenlivet, and enjoy tastings and samples galore. Speyside is home to another 42 operating distilleries, so there’s certainly plenty more to see if time permits! You will also visit Gordon and MacPhail’s legendary whisky shop in the Royal Burgh (town) of Elgin where you can shop for some of Speyside’s finest malts.The return to Edinburgh takes in the classic sights of the Cairngorm Mountains, Balmoral Castle (official Scottish home of the British Royal Family) and the village of Braemar in the Cairngorm National Park.

Full-Day Loch Ness Tour from Aberdeen

Traveling in a small group tour from Aberdeen, we travel North from Aberdeen city, following the main road A96. Hear about the areas history, and see the fine landscapes on route. Our tour starts from Aberdeen Visitor Information Centre.The first stop of the day is Johnstone’s Cashmere, Elgin. Following on, we travel to Loch Ness our main tour stop of the day. There is plenty of time for a tour of the Loch on a Jacobite boat cruise or a visit to Urquhart Castle with some Lunch. There is an entry fee required if you wish to see the Castle or go on the Loch Cruise.After lunch and visit of Loch Ness we travel via Inverness, past Culloden battlefield to the Clava cairns these are a type of Bronze Age circular chambered tomb cairns. Then we head back over the mountain roads to Aberdeen, Inverurie & Huntly Visitor Information Centre.Our Loch Ness Day tour takes around 11 hours in duration.

Speyside Whisky and Moray Firth Coast Day Tour from Inverness

The tour starts in the Inverness City Center at 9.15am where you will head to our first distillery of the day, in the comfort of a luxury, 16 seat mini-coach. Arriving at approximately 10:30am, the Benromach Distillery tour (approx. price £6) will teach you about the ancient process used to make whisky and offer you a chance to take an early morning dram.The next stop is Elgin, where you arrive at approximately 12:30pm and can have lunch, explore the ruins of Elgin Cathedral (approx. price £7.50), and look for whisky gifts at a world famous whisky shop.After lunch, at approximately 2pm, you will head to Glenfiddich Distillery (approx. price £10). You have the option to either do a distillery tour or view the nearby Balvenie Castle (approx. price £5). The distillery tour last approximately 1.5 hours.On your final leg of the journey to Inverness, you'll have a photo-stop at the Speyside Cooperage, one of the largest concentrations of whisky casks you'll ever see. You will arrive back in Inverness at approximately 6.30pm.
