La Ola

Top choice in Tenerife

This restaurant is located away from the usual tourist beach spots, and is all the better for ploughing its own furrow. Beyond the owner's conscientious and helpful service, there's a short menu of tasty meals using locally sourced and very fresh ingredients, including Canarian roasted pork, prawns with garlic, homemade hamburgers, cod cannelloni with prawn sauce, black rice and some vegetarian offerings.

There's a handful of desserts to follow, including the tasty Canary cheesecake with the cooked sap of Canary palm tree. Most diners take to the terrace outside.
