Smack in the middle of downtown Jo'burg, August House is notable for both its location and its incredible selection of high-end South African art. Home to about 50 artists' studios, August House holds bi-monthly open-studio events during which visitors can view and buy pieces from the city's most promising up-and-coming artists. Open Studio events usually also include fantastic performance art.
