By far the most popular place to gather in Karlín is Lokál Hamburk, an offshoot of the exceptionally successful Lokál in the Old Town. This incarnation is a more convivial, tightly packed affair, with long benches, pretty Portuguese-style tiling and high-vaulted ceilings. It's chock-a-block from clocking-off time, full of students and office workers who come for the Urquell and hearty food.
