    Espace Miramar

It’s hard to go wrong at this 5000 sq m complex with a pizzeria, two cafes, a grill restaurant as well as a children’s playground, all perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea, and with occasional live music as well. Moroccan takes on paella are on offer here. It's a series of open-air terraces, so be careful not to get lost.

    Club Nautique

This is the main restaurant at the port, and a good one. After 6pm you can buy your fish fresh off the boat and have them grill it for you (alternatively, order straight from the menu). The 2nd floor overlooks the whole port and is a great place to relax and have a beer in the fresh air.

    Café La Belle Vue

This modern cafe-restaurant gets its name from the terrace at the back overlooking the bay – it really does offer a splendid view. Great for breakfast, coffee, and to take advantage of the wi-fi. There are several similar cafes on this stretch of Mohammed V with great views.

The huge glass-fronted restaurant at the entrance of the Basilic Hotel has a suitably huge menu, which includes 20 different kinds of breakfast, seafood, stir-fries, pizza, pastries, juice cocktails and even cordon bleu. The food tends to be pretty tasty.

    Boulangerie Patisserie Azir

This freshly renovated patisserie is the town favourite, with great home-baked bread and tons of different sweets.

    La Dolce Pizza

The terrace at this cute Italian bistro thrust out into the chaos of Place du Rif is a great place to people watch and have some pizza, shawarma or salad. Service is appallingly slow, menu items are rarely all available and the pizza crust is certainly atypical, but it remains a worthwhile place to grab a non-tajine meal.
