Chiloe Island - Puñihuil Tour

CHILOE ISLAND – PUÑIHUIL TOUR ITINERARYThis tour allows us to visit the northern part of Chiloé Island and the Gulf of Ancud. We may know the history, its forts, its customs and its legends. After sailing the Chacao channel for 30 minutes and observing the great diversity of birds and sea lions, we will continue our journey towards the town of Caulin, cove dedicated to the extraction of seafood, seaweed and oyster farming; in addition, this place is privileged by the large number of migratory birds that arrive to the place.After that, we will have the option to sailing to the islets in the Pacific Ocean on the Chiloé island's coast  to see Humboldt and Magellanic penguins. We will continue along the island, going through “Mar Brava”, a long lonely beach where we will see the ocean in all its splendour. On the way back we will visit the historical museum of Quilo and then we will visit the second most populated city of Chiloé, Ancud, where we will visit the square, the market, the handicraft fair, the “Friends of the Chiloe’s Churches Foundation”, and the famous fort of San Antonio to make the return to Puerto Montt. Chiloé Island Tour

CHILOÉ ISLAND TOURITINERARYThis full day excursion will allow us to visit the northern and central part of the Chiloé Island. After navigating the Chacao Channel for 30 minutes, observing a great diversity of birds and sea lions, we will arrive at the Chacao town to visit the square and the Church. We will take the road to Ancud, where we will visit the square, the market, the handicraft fair and the famous Fort of San Antonio, we will also visit the “Friends of the Chiloe’s Churches Foundation”, where we will have an educational talk about the churches heritage of humanity (optional). Then we will take direction to Castro to see Gamboa palafittes (pile dwellings), the square and its Church. After this, there will be time for having lunch. Queulat National Park Full Day from Coyahique

Departure from your hotel in Coyhaique or from the Balmaceda airport very early in the morning to start the journey on the Carretera Austral Norte to Queulat National Park, distant 277 km (239 miles). During the day tour enjoy beautiful landscapes of mountains and rivers, such as the Marchant view-point and the Virgen Waterfall. Then continue on your drive admiring other attractions such as Lake Torres, Piedra el Gato, until arriving at Queulat National Park around noon. Head for a guided walk of 600 meters among forest, surrounded by splendid nature, until the shore of Lagoon Témpano, or longer if the passenger wishes. After enjoying the panoramic view of the place and watching the Queulat glacier, return to the starting point to continue to the town of Puyuhuapi. Short visit and set menu lunch at a local restaurant. At the agreed time, return drive to Coyhaique
