Huarayo Lodge

Amazon Basin

Handsome Huarayo Lodge enjoys the closest position to Lago Valencia, about halfway between this lake and Lago Sandoval. It has use of its own private creek, the Briolo, where it carries out activities like fishing and kayaking. The lodge has six rooms, a large dining room/common area and a hammock area.

Programs include a mix of Lago Sandoval and Lago Valencia activities (the former good for spying animals like the giant otter, the latter more conducive to fishing or merely paddling across). The price, at such a distance from Puerto Maldonado, should be a deal-clincher.

Reserve online or through its Puerto Maldonado office.
