Welcome to Taybeh

Now Taybeh beer has become an empire, sold throughout the West Bank (and increasingly even over the Green Line in Israel) as well as in Germany, Sweden and the US.

Taybeh's annual Octoberfest attracts thousands of locals, expatriates and tourists and with its new winery and hotel, the Khoury family are hoping to encourage visitors to spend a little longer in the village, believed to be the place Jesus and his disciples stayed in the hours before his death.

Taybeh is home to a number of interesting churches and chapels as well as fascinating Byzantine ruins. Take a shared taxi from the service taxi garage below Area D Hostel in Ramallah.
