At only 20 years old, Chase Guttman is already an award-winning travel photographer who has been to every state in the US and more than 50 countries.
And while Guttman is young, he has already written the book on the subject of drone photography. His manual “The Handbook of Drone Photography: A Complete Guide to the New Art of Do-It-Yourself Aerial Photography” was released last month.
Guttman has won the international competition for Young Travel Photographer of the Year three times, was named a top travel photographer by the New York Institute of Photography, and has lectured at the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film and B&H.
Drone photography is rapidly increasing in popularity – particularly with travellers documenting incredible places around the world. Online communities have sprung up for enthusiasts, international contests have been held, and tour companies have even begun to offer professional drone photographers to document your holidays.
If you’re looking to get into the world of drone photography, Guttman’s book is described as a “how-to-guide for drone enthusiasts looking to dabble in the world of drone photography”. It looks at the best way to pick the right drone, get airborne and take great images.
Guttman has also been named one of Instagram’s “rising stars” and has nearly 50,000 followers.
